To celebrate the Lunar New Year, let’s listen to Sky Lantern, a great ballad from the British indie band Transition. Founded in the late 1990s, the Bristol based trio represents the perfect ‘East meets West’ fusion. Their music is deeply influenced by numerous rock bands like U2 or Radiohead and Asian melody.
The positioning of the band in the music landscape is quite unique, it is one of the rare western bands that managed to actually conquer the Asian market, by not only exporting their music , but really adapting it to the local taste (without compromising their original ‘flavour’).
Transition has toured in China and Taiwan and played in major music festivals in Asia which contributed to create a strong fan base essentially in Asia. The band will release a new album this spring 2016 !
